Description of Position:
ScienceMedia, Inc. is a high-end multimedia company specializing in science-based eLearning and eMarketing for the life sciences industry. Headquartered in San Diego, we provide highly creative, interactive programs to pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies globally, as well as educational publishers. We are currently looking for a very talented individual to join our creative, energetic team in San Diego to assist in creating our programs. This position will be supervised by the Program Director and will play a role in the development of educational strategies, design and evaluation of educational material produced by ScienceMedia.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Write educational content for a variety of audiences to be developed by the ScienceMedia development staff in the form of print, simulations or animations
- Write effective assessments
- Serve as a Project Lead on assigned projects:
- Serve as the main contact for the client
- Communicate with development staff
- Manage project scope and content creation
- Ensure the quality of interim and final deliverables
Qualifications:
- An M.D. or Ph.D. with an emphasis on Physiology, Pharmacology, Endocrinology, Cell/Molecular Biology, Internal Medicine or other Clinical specialty
- An effective teacher
- Excellent verbal and written English skills (other languages are a plus)
- Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to interface effectively with peers, subordinates and clients
- A creative thinker who can contribute to the vision and design of our products
- Professional drive and the ability to manage tight-timelines and potentially stressful, shifting priorities and deadlines
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in the design of educational materials
- Demonstrated ability to teach at many levels
- Knowledge and understanding of instructional design and learning architecture
- Experience in educational needs analysis and curriculum design
- Comfortable in a small office environment
- Exceptionally organized, can adhere to established processes.
- Exemplary people skills, team player
- Experience with a Pharmaceutical or Biotech. company
- Familiarity with web applications (HTML, Adobe Flash)
- Strong computer skills (MSWindows OS, MSWord, MSExcel)
